EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a specialized psychotherapy approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences and distressing memories. Developed by Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s, EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation—often in the form of guided eye movements—to facilitate the brain's natural healing processes. This evidence-based therapy is particularly effective for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related conditions.
